Music GCSE

Course outline

The GCSE qualification is a highly exciting course but at the same time it is very challenging. It involves a combination of Coursework and External Examinations and all work involves some aspect of Moderation and Marking by the Teachers as well as Moderation by OCR Exam Board Officials.

Although this is a very intense course, it is designed for those students who enjoy music and are particularly skilled on an instrument and would like to develop their skills further. It is also designed for those who have been having private tuition on an instrument.

This option could be taken up take up with the intent of furthering studies by pursuing Music at A Level or a Music BTEC course.
