Curriculum Overview
Gladesmore Community School are committed to:
- teach the National Curriculum, including religious education and sex education
- teach about drugs as per the science element of the National Curriculum
- provide for physical education
- avoid political bias
- provide independent careers education and guidance
- make provision for pupils with special educational needs
- decide whether to disapply aspects of the curriculum to provide more time for other aspects, such as the work-related curriculum or basic skills
- provide a daily act of collective worship

KS3 Curriculum (Years 7, 8 and 9)
Our 3-year Key Stage 3 curriculum is deliberately broad. Pupils all study:
- Mathematics
- English
- Science
- Languages: French or Spanish
- Humanities: History, Geography, Religious Education
- Computer Science
- Physical Education
- Arts: Drama, Art, Music,
- Technology: Food, Design Technology
- Accelerated Reader
- PSHE, Citizenship & Careers

KS4 Curriculum (Years 10 and 11)
Our 2-year Key Stage 4 curriculum is designed to maximise achievement for pupils so that they can progress to further study and work. At the end of Year 9, we work with parents/carers to enable pupils to make appropriate course choices.
