A message from Goldwater Ojokor (Headteacher)

I am immensely proud to take over as Headteacher of Gladesmore Community School building on the tremendous legacy of Headteacher Tony Hartney CBE.

Born and raised locally in Hackney, I have dedicated my professional life to the Tottenham community.  I joined Gladesmore in 1997 as a newly qualified Maths teacher eager to share my enthusiasm for equations and problem-solving with all the pupils.

I was swiftly promoted to Head of Year and then to Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and most recently Associate Headteacher.  In these roles, I have had the privilege of working with families from Gladesmore school for over 25 years.  Today I am immensely proud that many of these pupils have chosen to send their own children to Gladesmore and that I can count many of our ex-pupils as members of our staff team.

I am pleased and excited to be leading Gladesmore Community School particularly as I am blessed with an extremely talented team of staff. At the heart of my vision for the school is a commitment to achieving both the best possible academic outcomes for young people and also supporting their all-round development in a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive environment.  Whilst I am proud of our school’s journey over the past 25 years, I firmly believe that the best is yet to come!
