We are keen to encourage as many students as possible to apply to university as we recognise the benefits in terms of career pathways and also life enrichment.
For many years, we have developing university links and taking students on visits.
- St Catherine's College, Oxford: This partnership was developed with the input of David Lammy, MP and has been supported financially by the Moody’s Corporation. The partnership is growing. Currently, we offer annual trips to visit the college. During this visit, our pupils are able to meet current students and some academics.
- Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford: The school is developing a link with this college. The college came to deliver a careers presentation to all the students in Year 9 building student awareness of academic pathways.
- UCL: The school has a longstanding relationship with the Institute of Education and groups of students from Gladesmore Community School visit the central London site contributing to the ITT programme.
- Royal Holloway: The PSHE team are developing a relationship with Royal Holloway in which Royal Holloway deliver a range of remote workshops to students in Years 7-11.
