Who Is Eligible for Free School Meals?
To qualify you must receive one of the following:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income–related Employment & Support Allowance
- NASS Support
- Guarantee element of State Pension
- Child Tax Credit & your gross income is £16,190 or less & you are NOT entitled to Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit
How do I apply for Free School Meals?
It is quick and easy to apply for Free School Meals and we encourage all eligible parents/carers to apply.
- Complete the online free school meals application form on the https://induction.gladesmore.com portal. Follow any additional steps outlined in the form.

How does Free School Meals work at Gladesmore?
Once we have processed your free school meals application and your child is eligible, their details will be added to our cashless catering system and any transactions will be recognised automatically at the till when they scan their thumbprint or enter their PIN. They no longer need to carry a photo card anymore.
Students who are eligible for free school meals have a daily allowance of £3, which is equivalent to a hot meal, a drink and a dessert. Any additional spending above the £3 allowance will be charged to your ParentPay account.
Please note that morning break snacks are not included in the free school meals allowance. Therefore, any food or drinks purchased during the morning break period will be charged to your ParentPay account.
It is also important to note that, even though your child is eligible for free school meals, all transactions are recorded in ParentPay. This allows parents and carers to see what their child has purchased at school. The system will automatically reimburse the free school meals allowance of up to £3 to your ParentPay account.
