Over recent years, the school has been transformed to become one to the best community schools in the country.
Improvements have been remarkable in terms of pupil achivement, ethos and facilities. It was highly praised by HMI in July 2001 and again in February 2002, April 2003, May 2003 and July 2003 as part of Good Practice visits and was, subsequently, recognised as a Flagship School.
Gladesmore has repeatedly been judged to be an ‘Outstanding School’ in all aspects by Inspectors.
This is shown in OFSTED Reports from November 2008, December 2009 and December 2013. Inspectors graded Gladesmore as Outstanding in every category; a rare accolade under the new inspection framework.
Whilst proud we are not satisfied and endeavour to make the school even better. The staff are fully committed to high levels of academic excellence and pastoral care by frequently reviewing policies, practice and performance. The school has very high expectations and there is no room for complacency. With a strong focus on continuing professional development, the superb staff grasp opportunities to learn fresh ideas, share good practice and maximise their potential.
