On the 6th of October 2022, the BBC visited Gladesmore Community School as part of their 100 years anniversary celebration and hosted a special event for all year groups in their key stage assemblies.

Guest speakers shared stories of famous and influential people around the world with dyslexia, and challenged the view that it shouldn't been seen as a negative trait, but a different way of viewing of the world. Our pupils described these stories as "inspiring" and learnt that even though people might be different and face difficulties, they should never give up because they can achieve great things.
