Gladesmore Community School has a long-standing and developed relationship with Moody’s. An integral element of this partnership has been a mentoring programme for students in Year 10 and Year 11.
This programme matches KS4 students with mentors from Moody’s and, as part of this programme, mentees are able to visit Moody’s offices in Canary Wharf.
Students who participate in the programme value the real-life experiences which the mentors can offer and also gain an understanding of the diversity of career paths available to them. The school has developed a structured package which means that mentoring conversations are structured in such a way that the input is timely and relevant. As part of this, the mentors themselves receive some training about the UK education system and the particular challenges faced by our students.
