Experience of Work
COVID19: The global pandemic has disrupted our experience of work programme. We list below what we have historically offered adn what we hope to offer when the pandemic is over.
Gladesmore Community School knows that experience of work is very important for students. Unfortunately, not all of our students come from homes where work is a normal part of life. The school endeavours to offer experiences of work to as many students as possible.
This has included:
- A designated Experience of Work day in Year 10 for all students. This is a school day where students are expected to shadow or experience a workplace for themselves.
- Placements with a range of industry partners including:
- Moody's
- The Ministry of Justice
- Cap Gemini
- Microsoft
- Credit Suisse
- Potato Tech
- Pearsons
- Haringey Council
- Tottenham Hotspur FC
- A school-organised experience of work for pupils who are extremely vulnerable including offering placements in local schools, supermarkets or high-street shops
- Support and recognition for students who organise their own work experience placements. If you are an employer who is willing to offer an experience of work to one of our students, please complete this form below.
