Every year here at Glademore, we are very fortunate to have an external theatre project visits our department and deliver bespoke workshops to our young people on different aspects of theatre including acting, directing, devising, theatre analysis, set and costume design. 

National Connection (National theatre Project)

Connections is the National Theatre’s annual, nationwide youth theatre festival. The programme is 29 years old and has a history of championing the talent of young people from across the UK. Students work with practitioners as well as the drama dept to create an original scripted performance.  

This year we have been selected to be part of an amazing opportunity with National Connections. Students audition to take part in this theatre project and present a script selected by the National theatre. This scripted play will be performed at Gladesmores Art Depot, however, if selected it will be performed for one night only at the National theatre.

Auditioning for The Rudolph Walker inter-school Drama Awards Project Jan 2024

Inspired and excited following the visit from Rudolph Walker, the Gladesmore Drama faculty decided to audition for The Rudolph Walker inter-School Drama Awards (iSDA) which is a nationwide competition that takes place every year.
